Once we have our basic needs met, we often settle for doing what's comfortable as opposed to pursuing our purpose. Amber gives a lesson on the necessity of pain as a guidance to eternal comfort, the Christian necessity for delayed gratification. Some of the scriptures referenced are:

  • Ephesians 4:18-19

  • 1 Timothy 4:1-2

  • Proverbs 6:27-28

  • 2 Corinthians 12:6-10

  • Luke 5:12-13

  • Romans 5:3-5

  • 2 Corinthians 1:3-7

In the 'What Does It Mean' segment Eric explains what comfort means in 2 Corinthians 1:4 (our Daily Bread memory verse by the way), and juxtaposes it with 2 different Greek words for forgiveness, showing how God instructs us to treat others as He treats us.

This was our first episode that was live-streamed, which means potentially more hiccups (like knocking over the webcam for a minute), but please join us so you can commune with us live in the future, usually on Tuesday nights.
